| The Winsock control has a peroperty especially for this. The .LocalIP property. All you have to do, is draw a Winsock onto your form, and use this code: Private Sub Form_Load() ' alert the local IP to the user MsgBox Winsock.LocalIP End Sub Thats it!! Bear in mind though, that if you're not connected to the internet, then the LocalIP property will return either something like 3.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1, depending on your modem configuration. |
